Terms of service

Who we are
Spendly is a personal-finance tracker made in India, operated by MAYUR ROHOKALE. “We” and “us” below mean Spendly and its operator; “you” means the person using it.
What Spendly is — and is not
Spendly shows your balances, spending, bills, budgets, loans and investments from records you add or import. It never holds or moves money, never asks for a net-banking password, and cannot make a payment from your account. It is not a bank, a payment service, a lender, a broker or an investment adviser.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use Spendly.
- Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- An account is for one person, managing their own money.
- You are responsible for what is done through your account.
Your data
Your records belong to you. We use them only to run Spendly for you, exactly as the privacy policy describes. You can export them at any time and delete your account and everything in it whenever you like — see Delete your account.
Imports can be wrong
If you connect Gmail or turn on bank SMS tracking, Spendly reads bank alerts and turns them into transactions. Banks change their formats, and an alert can be missed or read wrongly. Anything Spendly is unsure about is left for you to confirm rather than guessed. Check your figures against your bank statements before relying on them.
Not financial advice
Balances, forecasts, Safe to Spend, calculator results, market prices and Spendly AI’s answers are estimates worked out from your own records and public data, for your information. Market prices can be delayed or wrong, and AI answers can be mistaken. None of it is investment, tax or legal advice, and Spendly is not registered with SEBI. Make your own decisions, and take professional advice where it matters.
Spendly Premium
Premium is optional. Spendly’s free features stay free. Premium is paid for a fixed period — once, or by autopay on the website if you choose it:
- Monthly — ₹119 for 1 month.
- Yearly — ₹999 for 12 months.
- Monthly Premium includes automatic tracking (bank alert emails from up to 2 Gmail inboxes, and bank SMS and notifications in the Android app) and 20 Spendly AI answers a day. Yearly Premium adds a third Gmail inbox, 30 AI answers a day, optional email alerts for budgets, bills and card dues, and a yearly “year in money + tax summary” PDF. The free plan has 5 AI answers a day.
- Founding members — anyone who bought Premium before these prices — keep ₹59 a month or ₹499 a year when buying again on the website.
- Prices are in Indian rupees and are shown before you pay.
- Referrals: when someone joins through your invite link and makes their first Premium purchase, you and they each get one free month of Premium. Once per person invited, up to 12 free months a year for you. Free months are Premium time, not money, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- A one-time payment never renews — you are not charged again unless you buy again. Buying again adds the new period to whatever Premium time you have left.
- Autopay (website, optional): if you turn it on, the plan’s price is charged at the start of each period through Razorpay (UPI autopay or card) until you cancel. Cancel any time in Profile → My Premium; no further payment is taken and Premium runs to the end of the period already paid for.
- Free trial: new members may try Premium free for 7 days by setting up autopay. Nothing is charged during the trial (your bank may show a small verification that is refunded). The first payment is taken when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Gmail tracking starts with the first payment. One trial per person.
- Payments on the website are processed by Razorpay; payments in the Android app are processed by Google Play. Your card, UPI or bank details go to them and never reach Spendly.
- Premium starts as soon as Razorpay or Google Play confirms your payment.
- You can get a full refund within 7 days of paying — see Refunds & cancellation.
Fair use
Please do not:
- use Spendly for anything unlawful, or to hold someone else’s financial records without their permission;
- try to get into another person’s account or into parts of Spendly you are not meant to reach;
- attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service; or
- resell or repackage Spendly without our written agreement.
Changes to the service
Spendly is still being built. Features may change, and we may pause one to fix it. If you have paid for Premium and we remove something it included, tell us and we will make it right under the refund policy.
Ending your use
You can stop using Spendly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, and where the law allows we will tell you why.
Our responsibility
We work to keep Spendly accurate, available and secure, but it is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made using figures shown in Spendly, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under India’s Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other law that cannot be excluded.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. A change that affects what you pay or what you get will be announced in the app first.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please contact us first — most problems are solved faster that way. If it is not resolved, you can raise it with our grievance officer below, and the courts of India have jurisdiction.
